SIGUR ROS CONCERT : Parte II

Haven’t write any single review since last november about their concert..urgh..my bad. Here we go :

Last november i had a chance to watch Sigur Ros in KL, Malaysia and yesterday May 10th i got another lucky chance! I didn’t plan to watch them again if i should buy their ticket (because the price is too expensive for me, and i just wishing my luck on winning a free ticket :P) but, alas.. any high quality things always comes with a good price..haha.

May,10th
3 hours before concert, i was hopeless and oh well, at least i have experienced last year.
Until suddenly, i was browsing famously Indo-forum like crazy and i found someone who sell the tickets SO CHEAP.Did the bargain like in mangga dua and i got the tribune ticket EVEN cheaper!
Thanks God, and straight away went to Istora Senayan at 6.30.

There are some analysis (*tsaaaahh) from their performance in KL and Jakarta that i would like to point out based on my point of view :

1. Sound: yesterday in Jakarta, i realized something not quite right with the sound when Jonsi started to screaming in high pitch. Seems like the sound was “cracked” a bit (i dunno what terms you used,hei,sound master).
So, yay Sigurros KL

2. Camera: THIS!what matters (at least for me) in KL, they allow us to bring DSLR, while yesterday, they forbid it while my cutie red symbian phone is not made for stunning photograph (next time i should invest in 41MP phone..fine). For me, concert without photograph is like writing in a carbon paper that easy to fade.
But,then yesterday i couldn’t even want my eyes to look elsewhere except the stage. I just can’t…they were too brilliant audio-visually.

3.Stage: There are differences watching them indoor and outdoor. I somehow prefer their sound when i was watching outdoor, but for the lighting,indeed, indoor is WOW it’s reflects everywhere.
See the screen behind them?yes, in KL was much bigger,made my eyes sparkled more. Who can’t resist HD quality,eh? :p
And in KL they gave us fireworks after the concert is over..i want it alsooo.
in Jakarta, they provided a silk curtain that works as a projector to play the visual effects and light. And everyone cheered up when the curtain starts to fell down. ARGH THE MOMENT .
The lighting which sync well with their audio supports the feel of ambient.

Both, they gave me different pleasure experience. Each venue has always something to point about,right

4. Seating: in Jakarta, i was seating in tribune. Not really my kind of choice but yesterday i wasn’t fit physically to stand for a long time…women. I’d rather standing exhaustedly just to be near the stage (and yes, i always and WILL make myself to be in front row, so,i would apologize my friend if i ever leave them behind..opss :p) it’s unacceptable for me to stand more than 5 rows,because im short!
The good thing about being seating on tribune is i can do standing applause when their concert last night is over. Means i really honor them for the unforgettable performance.

5. Crowd: I don’t know if it matters where i was seating or standing. But, in KL the crowd is more hype and yesterday, i felt like i headbanging alone in my row. But, last night the “Choir-gig” humming in Mea Bloanasir was amazing.

6. Setlist and Instrument : They were giving some different setlist than in KL! when Jonsi started to played a piano for Vaka, i felt my heart melted away and THIS!this is what i didn’t get last year. Plus, they add some “magic” instrument, somehow sounded like Gamelan (i dunno) and a very low pitch recorded voice, which makes the first 2 songs a bit dark and creepy.

7.Performance: Now, talking about their overall performance. From my point of views (i don’t care what’s yours) there were moments when Jonsi humming in a veeery long time. i’d say in KL it was longer.
And they were interact more with audiences in KL than in Jakarta. Last night, he only said thank you-thanks for coming-thanks with his oh my God very cute accent. But, he smiled a lot in Jakarta…awww :)
And the energy, well maybe because i was in tribune…they perform more energetic in KL. But, in their song Brennisteinn last night, i feel the power more than in KL, it’s like i will go with frodo to mordor until i die.

Done, my analysis. The conclusion is, Sigur Ros is one of the best performance to pamper you visually with the art and technology blends together. Plus, no doubt for the vocalist talent with his otherwordly voice singing in Iceland and gibberish language that he invented himself which would lift your mind to somewhere so heavenly.
Overall rank from 1-10 i would give…..100!! hahaha

Mau speed up modem instant dan ekonomis selain dengan panci atau wajan?
coba alternatif ini, siapkan :
DVD/CD bekas
Modem USB nya
kalau punya kabel sambungan port USB,konon katanya lebih baik

Jadi modemnya dimasukin di lubang kepingan CD/DVD.
(iyah dipaksa,kalau bisa sih rapi.. saya sampai ganti 2x DVD gara2 kebelah 2)
Karena saya ga ada extension USB port, jadi langsung colok, kira2 jadinya begini :

Nah,apakah performanya jadi lebih baik?
Ntah ya kalau pakai wajan dan panci, karena saya belum eksperimen, jadi yang ekspress dulu. Kira2 ini perbandingan sebelum pakai CD (gb.atas) dan setelah dipasang CD (gb.Bawah) ngetestnya 2x,biar afdhol

lumayan Pingnya jadi berkurang hampir setengahnya

Device Dilemma

Seminggu yang lalu, sepertinya saya kena Mini Heart-Attack, disebabkan Hardisk external berwarna merah cantik saya tiba2 gabisa ke detect, “Device Unrecognizable”. Lampunya ga kelapkelip. Langsung rasanya pingin pingsan ditempat, semua raw portofolio,koleksi video sampai semua photo disitu semua. Namanya juga “External Memory”, device inilah partisi dari memory saya juga, wajar kalau panik luar binasa :P

Pertama pikir mungkin karena kabel atau port USB bermasalah, setelah dicoba di berbagai PC+Laptop, ternyata hasilnya pun sama.

Sempat berpikir mau bawa ke tempat service minggu depan ini, dan setelah riset, kalau mau recovery data itu kira2 bisa makan biaya 700ribuan ke atas. Ada yang di charge berdasarkan kapasitasnya, dan sempat tanya2 juga, ada yang di charge berdasarkan per-MB (??) kalau emang iya,habis berapa juta dong sayah -_____-“

Tapi,pas dicolok itu si HD,suara processingnya si hardisk masi normal (ga klak klik atau suara horor seperti mau rusak) mungkinkah si casing dan adapternya?

Maka bongkar lepaslah si casing HD dan ditanam di dalam PC.
Setelah dihidupkan, ternyata HD nya kebaca dan data2 di dalamnya masi komplit,lengkap tanpa cacat >.< aaaaaa bahagiaaa mau koprol keliling komplek rasanya

Ternyata si ini yang bikin saya hampir hilang ingatan external…huh :

Kalau dipikir2 yah,bukan Su’uzon tapi ngomongin posibilitas nih, skenarionya begini :
HD ga terDetect, saya panik dan gelepar gelepar di rumput dan langsung ke tempat servis “siluman” sambil bawa HD external saya, terus nangis terisak di hadapan Mas Mas-Penservice Hardisk (mari kita singkat MMPH) sambil memohon selamatkan HD saya dan terutama data2nya. MMPH nyengir melihat ke-desperate-an saya dan memanfaatkan situasi kalau HD saya rusak berat dan untuk mengembalikan data,saya harus bayar semilyar…ceritanya…dan demikianlah saya depresi dan setuju membayar semilyar dengan cicilan ribuan periode sementara ternyata failure ada di adapter yang notabene beli casing baru-istilahnya.

Maka,sebelum memutuskan HD diservis,kenali gangguannya terus cek sendiri dulu atau minta bantuan mereka yang paham perkomputeran dan teman2 hardwarenya.
Hanya saran, kalau gamau ya cari alternatif lain :P

And sometimes, too soon

Berita meninggalnya Ustad Uje dimana usianya tergolong muda, apalagi beberapa hari ini beritanya tersebar dimana mana sampai ada siaran ulang dakwahnya di salah satu media TV.

Walaupun saya pribadi ga kenal Uje, dan apalagi beliau pasti ga kenal saya.
Beritanya di TV memang gabisa nahan dari air mata. Kalau dibaca dari artikel2 nya, nampaknya beliau memang low profile dan pastinya menginspirasi banyak orang.

Terbukti dari ntah berapa ribu (atau puluhan ribu?) orang mengantar kepergiannya dengan doa. Wah Subhanallah ya..Siapa sih yang ga ingin kepergiannya diantar dengan puluhan ribu doa. Sungguh Allah SWT pasti mencintai ustad Uje.

Saya jadi ingat guru agama saat masih jaman SD di Al-azhar. Beliau yang tiap pagi nyalamin anak muridnya. Sosoknya ramah, inspiratif, guru favorit pokoknya. Saat beliau meninggal dengan sangat tenang, masjid penuh sesak mengantar kepergiannya, begitu juga para anak muridnya. Doa dan tangis mengantar kepergiannya.
Dan beliau yang meninggal dalam tidurnya, sungguh tenang, pastilah Allah juga menyayangi beliau.

Dan saya jadi ingat film V for vendetta. Film favorit saya dengan makna yang sangat memorable :
Kita bisa saja kehilangan sosok nya, tetapi ide dan perbuatannya yang menginspirasi akan terus berjalan dan akan terus disampaikan untuk generasi berikutnya.

Mereka yang mengubah hidup orang lain dengan cara mereka sendiri.
Begitu juga kita,

Mari mulai mengajar kebaikan dan inspirasi :)

Together, they declare the birth of Nutopia on April 1st, 1973.
Their apartment, is where they built their own country and living in peace.
Their own rule, their own love.

Back to movie review (yes, again!)after the 85th Golden Globe award, there are several movies i’m dying to watch, because i’ve been isolated from cinema and plus some of the movies haven’t come out (yet). I won’t go for a thorough review and no spoiler here, so, here they are :

1. Lincoln : Directed by Steven Spielberg. Well, we know who Lincoln is, right? The president of USA, who abolish and ban the slavery. While i was watching this movie, i should went back and forth to translate, because, oh dear God, the vocab’s too advance for me. Daniel Day Lewis who plays as President Lincoln, i must say, is really genius. And he absolutely well-deserved to received the best actor. He really portrays the humble and the intelligence of President Lincoln. The same feeling when i was watching The Iron Lady. They both plays their role really well and so strong. I salute the Golden Globe for giving him the best actor.

My favorite part : The Madhouse scene and The president Lincoln’s perception of Euclid’s axioms and common notions. For personal rating, i would give this movie 7.8/10

2. Argo : Oh my God this movie is so so so tremendous!! Kind of surprising that Ben Affleck (as well as the main actor) also directed this movie. Set up in Iran, back when the revolutionary time where mass of people attacking the US embassy and keep the American citizen as hostages, while 6 of them escaped and take shelter in Canadian embassy in Iran. While in America, Ben Affleck has his duty to rescue those people back to US. So, he set up a very detailed and organized plan to minimize the risk of the rescue mission. Somehow the movie is remind me of Munich, where they need to arrange the rescue and very well planned.

My favorite part : The checkpoints (where the tense is highly increasing!). And for personal rating i would love to give this movie 9/10. They won best motion picture for drama and best director! what else can i say, the award goes to the right movie.

3. Django Unchained : It’s amazing that Quentin Tarantino movie always depict the murder become “enjoyable” (?) hahaha. In spite of blood splattering here and there, the story is damn real good. Leonardo Dicaprio become villain and, wow, somehow the role fits him well. I never seen him in villain-character, quite surprising. And Christoph Waltz, my my my, i must admit my attraction with this charming man. He’s the man who plays as Hans Landa from Inglorious Basterds (by Mr. Tarantino as well) He has charisma on his speech and very persuasives and the body language he uses when he plays his role is so contented. Leonardo and Christoph nominated for best supporting actor, eventually, Christoph Waltz is by far, the best one. And the movie has won the best screenplay, well done! Compare to his previous movie, Inglorious Basterds, this one is less-sadist. The score is perfect! i love every single old-western tune on the movie.

My fave part : loves every bit of Christoph Waltz speech and bloody shooting-time. I’d love to rate this movie 9.3/10

*a bit spoiler but interesting: You can see the director, Quentin Tarantino have a role on their enroute to Lequint Dickey.

From my opinion, i must say this 85th Golden Globe is kind of “Political” behind. Alas, one of the happiness when you see a good movie from the storyline, scriptwriting, character,cinematography, detailed set, and perfect score.

Long time no movie review!
i watched this movie last november, before i watched “Life of Pi”.
Yes, “Life of Pi” has a great effect and strong storyline, but, my opinion is (mari kita singkat saja…capek) TPOBW has stronger storyline!!
It’s totally a different genre, yeah, why all of a sudden i chose drama (TPOBW) rather than Adventure (Life of Pi) movie?

Quietly i love watching friendship movies…A LOT!
And this one has a very stunning plot, and the musics are remarkably brilliant (when i say “brilliant”, it really does!).

The setting take place in high school time , where an introverted freshman trying to find a group among his schoolmate, and soon he will befriends with 2 of his seniors. And the story goes…(Believe me, it’s not just another high school movie with cheesy crispy storyline).

Well personally the movie reminds me of my…High school time?
No.
My college time, to be exact.
The memories, the joy when we feel like we can do something only
we-know-how and willing-to-do.
And realize, “wow, we’ve been through our time back then”.
That’s why i love this movie, something which’ll bring you back to the moment of unrepeated.

Because at that time, We were infinite.
Are we now?

Into The Realm of Light

It is a real pleasure when you hear a nice song and all you want to do is turn them into moving images.

I have footage collection when going around, sometimes i do really think what should i do with these.But, too waste to throw them away.

My mind keeps floating away when hearing Sigur Ros. Their music never fails me to pour inspirations, some more, i do miss editing video. And voilà ! this 3 minutes video has done.
I realize i need to shoot more.
